A high-energy instrumental experience where Brazilian rhythms meet bold, dynamic arrangements. Moving between electric guitar, bass, and classical guitar — sometimes within the same song — Galamba leads the quartet with colour, energy, and undeniable drive.
Galamba is a Montreal-based guitarist, bassist, and composer whose music blends the rich rhythms of his Brazilian roots with the harmonic and sonic textures shaped by his North American influences. Growing up in Recife, a major cultural hub in northeast Brazil, he was immersed in diverse musical traditions that continue to shape his sound.
Over the years, he has established himself as a versatile and in-demand sideman on the Montreal scene, collaborating across genres — from world music and jazz to funk and rock — and touring throughout Europe, North and South America, with appearances at major international festivals.
Now stepping forward as a solo artist, Galamba's debut album brings together intricate rhythms, vibrant harmonic colours, and flowing melodies — a musical language rooted in tradition and shaped for the stage.
